Montréal Wedding Venue: La Bullerie

Rustic Elegance at Montreal’s La Bullerie

Tracy & Sean’s Wedding

08.19.2018

Tracy and Sean are a fun, classy and hip couple and it was no surprise that their choice of wedding venue reflected that! Jesse and I were their videography and photography duo, along with our partner Rob. It was a gorgeous warm day in August, and as I write this on a chilly and grey Montreal November day, I’m warmed by the memories of this wonderful day of shooting and laughter.

As a wedding photographer, you’re documenting one of the most important days of someone’s life, and the venue can greatly influence the final outcome of the photos.

I was so excited when I went to La Bullerie’s website, and found their gorgeous vineyard, dining rooms and patio.
Only 45 minutes outside of downtown Montréal, guest were able to stay late and still travel home easily to their cozy beds.

Tracy got ready in La Bullerie’s appartement - with elegant clean lines, a stunning view and perfect light - it seems almost like it was made for wedding photography.

After the prep was first look and portrait session - made easy by an adorable orchard just off the venue, filled with perfect light and greenery. A wedding photographer’s dream, and a unique gem so close to Montreal!

What made this venue so special was the service, and the commitment to details. The staff took care of everything INCLUDING the stunning florals and décor - which is huge considering how much florists and planners charge for these services.

The details were unique and charming.

There were eucalyptus leaves with real strawberries and chic little vintage glass boxes snuggled up to decorative bowls. The effect of it all was dreamy - a wedding photographer’s dream, that is.

Last but not least, the rustic chic reception decor!

The no tablecloth look is unorthodox for Montreal weddings, and that among many reasons was why I was in love! Paired with cut crystal glassware and simple white and green florals, the contrast of the worn-effect wood tables was the perfect synergy between country and elegance.

All in all, La Bullerie is now one of my favourite venues to shoot. Wedding photography in Montreal can be tricky, with trends like big indoor reception halls with purple lighting that never seem to go out of popularity, it was so refreshing to spend the day at this sunny and joyful venue. Check out La Bullerie’s website for more information about their wedding services.
